What is prepaid sub -metering?Prepaid metering is a system that allows customers to pay for their energy consumption in advance. This means you can top up your meter with credits before using electricity, which helps in budgeting and managing energy costs.

How does prepaid metering work?Customers purchase prepaid credits that are then used to power their homes or businesses. The meter deducts the consumed units from the available balance until it reaches zero, at which point power is cut off until additional credits are purchased.

How do I check my balance?You can check your balance by viewing the display on your prepaid meter. Many meters also offer the option to check your balance through the Property Wallet app.

Where can I purchase prepaid credits?Prepaid credits can typically be purchased at designated retailers, online, or directly through your utility company’s website or app. Please see Buying options tab on our website.

What happens if I run out of credits?If you run out of credits, your electricity supply will be interrupted. You will need to purchase additional credits and add them to your meter to restore power.

Can I transfer credits to another account?You will have to fill in a transfer form, contact our call centre to assist.

Is there a fee for using prepaid metering?It's best to check with the call centre for details related to fees and charges for your complex.
