STS Prepaid
In today's South Africa, prepaid electricity and water meters have become essential for effective utility management in both residential and commercial properties. Monitoring utility usage closely is crucial, as unpaid accounts and poor management can have serious financial impacts on your business.

You significantly reduce your financial risk by installing a prepaid electricity meter in your retail outlet, rental property, or sectional title scheme. Property owners nationwide recognize prepaid meters as valuable investments. Our system ensures funds are collected and your utility bills are paid directly from our secure fidelity account, eliminating the risk of disconnection and guaranteeing consistent service delivery.

Upfront payments from tenants offer you better control over your budget and improved cash flow. With rising electricity tariffs, prepaid meters also reduce tenant disputes over unexpectedly high bills. Tenants can track their daily usage, giving them full transparency and control over their consumption.

You can rest assured knowing that our strict financial protocols govern the collection and handling of utility funds, fully compliant with government regulations on public funds. All collected payments are safeguarded in a fidelity account before being regularly transferred to your designated account or paid directly to the municipality or Eskom.

TOU Smart Prepaid

A Time-of-Use (TOU) tariff allows you to pay different rates for electricity depending on the time of day it's consumed.

This tariff is broken down into three key categories:

  • Peak Times

  • Standard-Times

  • Off-Peak Times

Peak times are the most expensive, occurring during high-demand periods, such as between 6 AM and 8 AM when households and businesses are preparing for the day.

Standard times reflect more consistent electricity usage and are charged at a lower rate than peak hours.

Off-peak times are the least busy and offer the lowest rates, typically between 2 AM and 6 AM when consumption is minimal, such as when most people are asleep.

Understanding these time categories can help you optimize energy usage and manage costs effectively throughout the day.
